Those At Stake, 2023
Those at Stake is an interpretation of a 2020 study that predicts roughly 20% of the land on Earth (predominantly around the equator) will reach annual average temperatures on par with the Sahara Desert. These areas are already experiencing crop failure and drought as a result of the changing climate, causing many humans and more-than-human species to migrate away. The 43 birds printed in this book represent the 49 countries that make up this encroaching inhospitable zone. Each bird is either an official national symbol of the country, such as the Scarlet Macaw for Honduras, or a species endemic to that country, like the African Fish Eagle in Chad. The red wave running through each print is a representation of the danger that threatens each area. As the viewer flips through the book, they are shown not only the representations of bird species, but also the people at stake if immediate global climate mitigation isn’t put into place.

What's Left Unsaid (2020)
This book focuses on the things left unsaid several years after the end of an abusive relationship. It is composed of three letters and accompanying illustrations. The entire piece is composed of the book itself, a hand-held LED light, and a clamshell box lined with the same letters. Each letter is printed with a glow in the dark ink and can only be read when charged with the LED light and left in the dark. Work must be put in to reveal the message.
